About Andi Flax

Born in the US, raised in Canada and based in Newport, Rhode Island, US, Andi Flax is a singer- songwriter drawn to the healing and expressive power of the human voice. At a young age she understood that the physical body was a great creative instrument, and began studying its processes through the mediums of classical music and dance.   In 2001 she moved to NYC to pursue musical theater professionally where she studied at ‘The American Academy of Dramatic Arts’ and ‘William Esper Studios.’  Feeling burned out and unfulfilled from the business of show business, she left everything behind to travel the world for four years in search of “Herself”.  

As an artist,  Andi is committed to the idea of life as a piece of art, creating music and telling stories that uplift and inspire!  As a passionate globetrotter, she has been steeped in the traditions of many different cultures and has the the privilege to work with teachers and music makers from all different backgrounds.  Whether its a wedding, corporate event, school assembly, party or even a yoga class she can mold musical styles and stories to suit your needs.  She specializes in keynote concerts, sharing songs and stories in alignment with the theme of your event.
